Romeo has just found out that Juliet is from the Capulet family. And Juliet has known almost from the start that Romeo is from the Montague family. Juliet has been hiding in secrecy since her family was killed by Romeo's Father, she has been disguised as a boy. And so it begins, the story doesn't follow Shakespeare to the T, which is something that makes this show interesting for me. Oh and it dumbs down the story enough so you can follow it, without going huh?

Though many of you might have no idea what these quotes mean, I still
think they are the epitone for Knife of Dreams. Which is a Fantasy
book. I will follow my duty to the end. Will you? I can only dream of
waking from this nightmare.
Quote: Knife of Dreams (Robert Jordan)
Jahar drew himself up as if he had anticipated this, and dreaded answering. His face remained hard and cold, though. "Fifty-one sisters have been bonded by Asha'man already, and four of us are bonded to Aes Sedai. Forty-seven makes the difference. There were five of us, but one died defending his Aes Sedai. Remember his name. Eben Hopwil. Remember him!" There was a stunned silence from the benches. Romanda felt a lump of ice in her middle. Fifty-one sisters? Bonded by Asha'man? It was an abomination! "Manners, Jahar!" Merise snapped. "Do not make me tell you again!" Shockingly, he rounded on her. "They need to know, Merise. They need to know!" Turning back, he ran his gaze along the benches. His eyes seemed hot. He had been dreading nothing. He had been angry, and still was. "Eben was linked with his Daigian and Beldeine, with Daigian controlling the link, so when they found themselves facing one of the Forsaken, all he could do was shout, 'She's channeling sadin,' and attack her with his sword. And despite what she did to him, ruined as he was, he managed to hang on to life, hang on to sadin, long enough for Daigian to drive her off. So you remember his name! Eben Hopwil. He fought for his Aes Sedai long after he should have been dead!"

"How may I help you, Aes Sedai? You wish me to send a message for you via my pigeons? It will be my pleasure." It was also wise to grant Aes Sedai any favors they asked, and a pigeon was a small favor. "A message to each merchant you correspond with. Tarmon Gai'don is coming soon." He shrugged uneasily. "That is nothing to do with me, Aes Sedai. I'm a merchant." She was asking for a good many pigeons. He corresponded with merchants as far away as Shienar. "But I will send your message." He would, too, however many birds it required. Only stone-blind idiots failed to keep promises to Aes Sedai. Besides which, he wanted rid of her and her talk of the Last Battle. "Do you recognize this?" she said, fishing a leather cord from the neck of her dress. His breath caught, and he stretched out a hand, brushed a finger across the heavy gold signet ring on the cord. Across the crane in flight. How had she come by this? Under the Light, how? "I recognize it," he told her, his voice suddenly hoarse. "My name is Nynaeve ti al'Meara Mandragoran. The message I want sent is this. My husband rides from World's End toward Tarwin's Gap, toward Tarmon Gai'don. Will he ride alone?" He trembled. He did not know whether he was laughing or crying. Perhaps both. She was his wife? "I will send your message, my Lady, but it has nothing to do with me. I am a merchant. Malkier is dead. Dead, I tell you." The heat in her eyes seemed to intensify, and she gripped her long, thick braid with one hand. "Lan told me once that Malkier lives so long as one man wears the hadori in pledge that he will fight the Shadow, so long as one woman wears the ki'sain in pledge that she will send her sons to fight the Shadow. I wear the ki'sain, Master Aldragoran. My husband wears the hadori. So do you. Will Lan Mandragoran ride to the Last Battle alone?" He was laughing, shaking with it. And yet, he could feel tears rolling down his cheeks. It was madness! Complete madness! But he could not help himself. "He will not, my Lady. I cannot stand surety for anyone else, but I swear to you under the Light and by my hope of rebirth and salvation, he will not ride alone." For a moment, she studied his face, then nodded once firmly and turned away. He flung out a hand after her. "May I offer you wine, my Lady? My wife will want to meet you." Alida was Saldaean, but she definitely would want to meet the wife of the Uncrowned King. "Thank you, Master Aldragoran, but I have several more towns to visit today, and I must be back in Tear tonight." He blinked at her back as she glided toward the door gathering her cloak. She had several more towns to visit today, and she had to be back in Tear tonight? Truly, Aes Sedai were capable of marvels! Silence hung in the common room. They had not been keeping their voices low, and even the girl with the dulcimer had ceased plying her hammers. Everyone was staring at him. Most of the outlanders had their mouths hanging open. "Well, Managan, Gorenellin," he demanded, "do you still remember who you are? Do you remember your blood? Who rides with me for Tarwin's Gap?" For a moment, he thought neither man would speak, but then Gorenellin was on his feet, tears glistening his eyes. "The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai'don," he said softly. "The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai'don!" Managan shouted, leaping up so fast he overturned his chair.
I'm leaving for California next week after my finals are totally done. I was hoping to leave for Cali for different reasons later in life, but apparently life is cruel.
Quick post for the New Year, I hope you all have a good one. Uh.... Anything I miss? Oh yea and and uh last year sucked and im starting to think next will too.
Working on New Years Eve and New Years Day Sucks even harder... I love how the excuse to have me work both days according to the manager was, "because someone has to work both days". LOL, so when she said that she was gonna have it so we all eaither have one or the other off it was a big lie? My job sucks I'm so quitting....
Oh yea story of the week: I was working and some European lady and her friend ordered two Capuccinos, one was decaf. I called out both drinks and then they started to get angry at me for no reason. And then they said I had no idea what drink was what. So I totally told them how it was and hit one with one of the portafilters in the face. Then proceded to kick the other in the gut. Later after both were KO'ed, I then stole their money and kicked them while they were down. Have a nice day. Sorry if I wasn't able to kill you last year I'll make sure to get around to you some time this one.
Oh yea and I bought two ViewSonic VX2025WM's for no reason. WOOT Time to dual widescreen!!! Bye bye $800.... I'll post pictures later...
This isn't really a holiday I'll be happy to celebrate this year for various reasons. I'm not gonna rant on why tho. I can't wait to go back to school and stop working at that shit hole of a job. I question myself to why I don't just look for a new job and quit. Maybe I'm just too lazy to get up and do something, but you would think I would actually use all that frustration and actually use it to apply for a new job. Well once school starts I'm gonna try and apply at school. Hopefully I'll find a job I like and tell some "select" customers just what everyone wishes they could say. Ever see Half-Baked when that guy quit his job and told off customers and co-workers? Something like that but a bit meaner.
Ah well, here's a Konoka (left) and Setsuna (right) Christmas picture I got, I don't have many seasonal pictures because outside of the holiday/season they are pretty useless. So other than the two that are used here that's all I think I have for christmas. I edited out some of the Japanese text and fixed up the coloring a bit. But yea I left that text up on the top right which I will probley fix later or do something about. Its just that text wasnt really bothering anything really important in this picture. FYI Konoka's VA (Voice Actress) is actually one of my favorites. After having a talk to catcat about this I started to actually pay attention to VA's that I actually liked. But one thing I realized is that a lot of the VA's that I become fans of have a similar type of voice, and usually character. The only word I could explain their voice in distinction to others is that they have a sort of slower drawn out japanese. Its hard to explain but easier to hear.Hmm might as well list them.... Oh wait never mind bad idea, sometimes its actually the VA's character that brings out that voice. I'll put in some notable voices:
Konoka Konoe from Negima - voiced by Ai Nonaka Sayuri Kurata from Kanon - voiced by Ayako Kawasumi Mai Kawasumi from Kanon - voiced by Yukari Tamura Akiko Minase from Kanon - voiced by Yūko Minaguchi Shiori Misaka from Kanon - voiced by Akemi Satō Nayuki Minase from Kanon - voiced by Mariko Kōda Misaki Nakahara from NHK - voiced by Yui Makino Kaminagi Ryoko from Zegapain - voiced by Kana Hanazawa
Ok actually not all of those characters had similar voices but all were memorable voices. (another note, yea I've been watching too much Kanon its kinda ruined this example a bit) I could probably list out better examples but I don't really remember much off the top of my head except for those I listed from Negima, NHK, and Zegapain.
Ok I finally finished watching all of Welcome to the NHK (NHK ni Yōkoso!). It was a interesting ride of a anime. I'm gonna have to put this up there on the list of anime's that initially I thought was gonna be boring but then blew me away with something new, and then disappointed me with the ending. But none the less it was up there as one of my favorite animes. Now a days so many anime copy characters and concepts from past popular shows. NHK actually brings up this topic in during the game design episodes, and actually pushes that this leads to "crappy" games. Something innovative is needed to stick out when your new to the market. NHK brought me that innovation when the main character, Satō Tatsuhiro, a hikikomori, was introduced. After reading the series synopsis I asked myself how could a anime about a guy who just sits in his room be interesting, boy was I in for a surprise. This was the first time that a anime actually touched such a serious social problems and brought it to light. Not only Satō's problems but other character's problems were shown too. Kaoru Yamazaki a Otaku who doesn't want his life to be planned and believes that every woman in his life will betray him. Hitomi Kashiwa, Satō's sempai from high school, who has a dependence on drugs and is suicidal. Misaki Nakahara who feels that she is a burden to everyone and also was beaten as a child by her step-father. NHK was not afraid to push the bar and show problems that young adults and even adults face. There was even episodes on the obsession of Online RPG gaming that college students fall victim to. If your somewhat interested in society and psych this may be interesting to you. But yes the ending was the common everything works out type of anime, but if you get a hold of the manga I hear that its 10 times superior to the anime. If you can watch it. But yea don't expect a something super awsome out of the ending though. Like I said earlier, it had a great concept like Zegapain, but the ending was just meh. They left this ending open ended too James....
I'll probley talk about Zegapain later... Merry Capitalist day... LOL its true tho...
